Loose with the definition of pre-existing conditions
+ The only good thing I can say is that I have heard many good recommendations about Figo Insurance.
Yet, my own experience was not a good one.
- I understand that pre-existing conditions are not covered by any pet insurance,
Yet, Figo was very loose with the definition of pre-existing conditions.
I uploaded all vet records of my dog as soon as I started the policy and asked for the
evaluation to learn about the coverage for pre-existing conditions.
--Which I suggest you to do too in order to not have any surprises---
- Getting a reply took a whole month.
- My dog had kennel cough 5 months before the policy date, and had diarrhea 2 months before.
As you all know, these cases are curable. My dog certainly has not suffered from kennel cough
for 5 months, and diarrhea for 2 months. But, the insurance considered them
as preexisting conditions and excluded them from being covered.
- They kept claiming that all insurances will do the same, while Figo is the best to accommodate
curable pre-existing conditions. It definitely was not the case, and that is why I am going
with some other insurance. So, don't take their word when they claim "all insurances will do this",
do your own research instead.
