This company totally violates trust.
Update: Fetch reached out to me to say they indeed paid me but this was for a completely different claim. The dental cleaning and the corresponding $100 reimbursement I was owed for subscribing to the wellness plan was indeed denied. They denied it under the wellness plan as well as the regular insurance plan, all because my puppy needed a teeth cleaning. So if teeth are in need of a cleaning, they will not pay the $100 entitles for a cleaning. If your puppy does NOT need a cleaning then they’re happy to pay for something that does not need to be done. Makes total sense. Again, be very careful as they will make you feel safe and secure with this wellness plan but will then refuse to pay when you try and use it. Total scam.
This company totally violates the trust you have that they will be there if you ever need them. I get it, an insurance company needs to make money. Fetch was completely dishonest in the way they marketed their product. I signed up for Fetch and the biggest reason I chose this company over all of the others is their wellness plan. I paid almost double the normal premium to include the wellness plan that gives you menu back towards things like vaccinations, heart worm medicine and, more importantly, money towards dental cleaning. My puppy had a dental cleaning scheduled for months. Her checkup before the dental cleaning had the doctor noting stage 1 periodontal disease. This is very common and highlights the need for annual cleanings. But because of the stage 1, fetch denied the claim for dental cleaning. That’s fine. Preexisting condition. Sure. But they also denied the $100 reimbursement from the wellness plan I paid for because of it. Nowhere did it EVER say that the wellness plan that you pay extra for has severe limitations and exclusions just like the regular insurance. So it makes me worry in the future what else this company will deny. You place your trust and your money in this company and they act like they want to care about your pet. But what happens when you need them the most? Will they leave you high and dry? This is all about trust and the question is can you trust this company to honor their commitment to your pet?
