The person I spoke to Denise Ariale…

The person I spoke to Denise Ariale went above and beyond to keep me as a customer and gave me options that were within my budget.

They don’t care

Long post but, please read for the sake of your babies. I had my two dogs previously under a different insurance company but switched after seeing seeing ads and speaking with a customer service representative. I was told about the 15 day waiting period and the 6 month period for knees and hips. I was also told the 6 month waiting period (for both) would be waived with a vet visit at the start of our policy, which we did. I felt confident in the switch because of the coverage and lower prices. Our younger dog started limping after a day at the park, we thought she had cut her paw or hurt it. It turned out to be her hips and it was hip dysplasia. When turning in the claims they originally were sent back multiple times for “missing documents.” We had forwarded her whole file! They then denied the claim because it was within the 6 month period for hips. I tried explaining that I was told by the representative specifically when joining that they were covered. They said only the knees were. I asked them to please go back and listen to the recording and of course they called back and said it never happened. I was gaslit and let down by this company. Don’t waste your time and money on a company that couldn’t care less about their ill-trained employees lying to get business and not caring about your babies. Put the money you’d spend here into savings and apply for care credit.

Avoid this pet insurance. it is scamming

If there is a ZERO that I could choose, I will choose Zero. This is the worse insurance company I have dealt with. My policy was issued in Jan 2020. My dog was very healthy and have never need to see a doctor since the policy issued until recently swallow something and get stuck in esophagus. I took her to see a Vet, get X-ray and blood work done. It cost $960.00. I submitted a claim and got refused. The Fetch said I did not take my dog to do an examination within 6 month of the pollicy issued. That means since the very beginning of Jan 2020 to today. My dog was covered nothing but I paid over 3000.00 on her insurance. This is just scamming. And also, all other pet insurance can be claimed through Vet office but not this Fetch. Therefore, please stay away from this pet insurance company!

A customer since September of 2020

A customer since September of 2020, I have paid over $4,000 in premiums for my two rescue Boxers. I recently decided that my dogs could benefit from a dental cleaning and had them prescreened by the vet. To my surprise the routine cleanings revealed that each of my dogs required additional work including dental extractions. The overall cost was $2100. Naturally, this expense was unplanned and I was caught off guard. The pre-screening my vet performed did not indicate there was a severe issue or need for extractions. Regardless, I made a claim for each pet and expected at least some reimbursement after copay's. The result of my efforts was multiple requests for documentation from my vet which I promptly responded to and remitted. I began to feel like I was getting strung along as the days were extending to weeks. The last straw was a request for records that predated my ownership of the pets, after all they are rescues and aside from the rescue performing initial veterinarian treatment and neutering / spaying, treatments and vaccinations, there is no history prior to ownership. My dogs are well cared for, generally healthy and promptly vaccinated on schedule and properly licensed. In short, my dogs are pampered and never neglected. Reading public reviews of Fetch revealed a pattern of denials that had me wondering, based on their denial of both pets claims, how, if ever I could reimbursed for anything? How is it a business can accept premiums and then deny a claim years later by stating a protocol was not initially followed? Wording for denial: "Your claim was not approved because your pet didn't have a check -up close enough to the start of your policy" (Patently false and records were provided) the denial goes on to state, "(By 'checkup' we mean a vet visit unrelated to your pet getting sick or hurt.) In the absence of a checkup, any illness or injury observed at your pet's first exam after the policy starts is excluded from coverage." My pets are generally healthy and have routine wellness checks when their vaccines are updated. I ma not sure exactly what more can be done. In my evidence based opinion, the services Fetch advertises is not a service they are prepared to adequately deliver.
