embrace insurance is amazing

embrace insurance is amazing. They always pay within 2-3 days of submitting a claim and, unlike other insurance companies we have used, do not reduce the amount. They always pay exactly 90% of the invoice amount. The few times I have had to contact them there customer service has been great. They respond by email with a helpful answer within 24 hours. This is really a great vendor. Highly recommend.

Rates have doubled

This was a bait and switch. At sign up in 2022 I was quoted $86 for two dogs. At my first renewal in 2023 that was raised to $136. Renewing again in 2024 and it is $185. Our premium more than doubled in 24 months. I can’t switch because of the dogs now has a pre existing condition, so I’m stuck with these high prices that are way above market. Do not buy Embrace.

Filing a claim was very easy, I just followed the prompts. I have never filed a claim before, so I’m glad that the program is set up for technology challenged people like me.

a nice surprise!

I forgot that I insured my precious dog last year. As a result I filed a few claims at once. I was expecting a new bill for next year’s policy but instead I received a nice check for what was covered. I wish there was specific explanation for what wasn’t reimbursed. Thank you Embrace for coming through for me

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
