Great no hassle

Prompt Claims, and friendly and knowledgeable Customer Service on the phone. I lost my check called in and was re-issued a new claim check with no problem. Embrace insurance is definitely great.

Thankful for Embrace!

Our sweet Rossi, (Shih Tzu), is now 15 years old. We are so pleased with the service we have received as Embrace Pet Insurance customers throughout her lifetime. She has had several serious health issues, (including Cushing’s disease, as well as cancer), and this insurance has made all the difference in our being able to provide her with excellent veterinarian care. Embrace customer service has consistently been of the very highest caliber and I have always received prompt, excellent service from the representatives any time I have needed answers to questions concerning our insurance coverage, etc. In addition to the professionalism, courtesy and knowledge displayed by Embrace employees, the prompt processing of any and all claims I have submitted has been a very positive addition to our experience. Easy to file and fast processing of claims

Embrace insurance is great. Easy to file a claim and it is usually processed that same day or the next day. The website is really easy to use to start a claim and upload documents.

Baseless Claim Denial

Very disappointed with Embrace's effort to deny my dog Murphy's claim for renal disease testing. During a routine check up, my vet noticed abnormal kidney values and recommended testing. Embrace denied the claim as a pre-existing condition because Murphy had experienced diarrhea before I purchased my policy and diarrhea is a symptom of late-stage kidney disease. My vet said the denial was ridiculous. The appeal is under review, but it seems Embrace is just like every other insurance company -- they happily collect your premiums and then do their utmost to deny claims on the flimsiest of grounds.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
