Embrace pays for covered illnesses

When Ozly was diagnosed with Lymphoma I wish I had a higher amount of insurance coverage, however the 80% has helped me/him so much and they immediately submit payment to my account. If I didn’t have this insurance my dog w/have been gone by now. I could have never afforded what these treatments, visits, meds, etc, are. I am grateful for this insurance and just wish I had 90% instead!!

Policy began July 2023

Policy began July 2023. Claims had successfully been processed. Then he had surgery July 17, 2024. First, you said it was his first claim. Incorrect. Then, it took months to get the claim processed, citing Embrace required more complete medical history. A summary report was provided by his previous veterinary clinics and there were no indications of his having any masses removed. There was no need to bother veterinarians and their staff to get "itemized, physician notes" and you had no right to demand them. Now that you have them, send me copies so this doesn't happen again! The contract states: Your Pet must have been examined by a Veterinarian in the twelve (12) months prior to the Pet Original Start Date as shown on the Schedule Page(s) or within fourteen (14) days after the Pet Original Start Date. Failure to do so may result in your policy defaulting to an Accident only policy. Meaning you will have no Illness Coverage and your Illness premium will be refunded. You may add Illness Coverage back onto your policy once a qualifying Veterinarian has examined your Pet and detailed records for the exam are available to us. This will result in your Illness Waiting Period end date changing to the date of the first exam. No Illness Coverage is available until a qualifying Veterinarian has examined your Pet, and Pre-existing Conditions, if any, may be determined upon the date of the qualifying Veterinarian's examination. This exam was conducted within the timeframe and you had the detailed records. There was no reason other than trying to delay or get out of processing the claim and making payment. I was surprised when his annual exam was processed timely and the amount covered. So, I am staying with Embrace at this time.

Very happy I chose Embrace pet insurance

At this point in time I am very happy I chose Embrace pet insurance. Our pug, Bobo Loco, will be three in February. At his one year check up at the vet something told me to take the plunge with starting pet insurance for him. Lean, with long legs, he is a very active, acrobatic pug that loves to run, leap and jump. And also likes to eat sticks. After some research I signed him up with Embrace within hours of that visit. So happy that I did, as I have filed 4 claims since October 2024. Filing a claim is fast and easy and there is a quick response time from Embrace. Very happy, so far, with the efficiency of Embrace.
