They covered NOthing. Don’t get sucked in

Bought a policy for my two dogs and paid a year up front. 6 months in each of my dogs had to see the vet. My Yorkie had pancreatitis and a UTI. THEY’VE DENIED the whole cost and said 5 months ago in routine bloodwork something was elevated. At the time the vet said it was nothing to worry about nothing to do. Now they won’t cover her illness as there was more existing condition. Give me a break. Total ripoff.

expect to lose money, be ignored, be treated unfairly

Very unfortunate to have to write this review. Embrace Insurance's #1 job is to find ways to deny your insurance claim. Found this out the hard way. This shady business will find every single possible reason and scrape the scum of the earth to decline your insurance claim. I can't believe how unreasonable they are. I have never ever came close to getting any reimbursements despite working with our vet and their team, providing all documentations, AND even getting a formal letter from our vetenarian stating our cat's symptoms are unrelated to pre-existing conditions. They still denied us! Not even one reimbursement from the multiple treatments we had. These guys are nuts. Total scammers!! Beware!!

I have been with embrace pet insurance…

I have been with embrace pet insurance for two years for three cats and so far it’s been great. They make really easy to file a claim simply upload to their site. Once it’s uploaded it take a few days to get reimbursed. The entire time you can look on the site for updates. They offer a discount for multiple pets.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
