I’ve used Embrace for my dog for about 10 years. Always easy to submit claims right through their app! Very happy that we received about 80% refund on most claims. My yorkie had many health issues and always was going to the vet or eye doctor. Submitted claims and received refunds quickly! Sad to say my baby passed away recently. But I will use Embrace again if I ever get another dog. Thank you

It's not really clear how to submit a…

It's not really clear how to submit a prescription for Heartgard. It's a preventive, medicine that requires a Vet to write the prescription, but yet, there's not a diagnosis available to accompany the claim. You get all these warnings that your submission will be delayed without a diagnosis.

One of the Best!!

I have been using Embrace for several years now and have had a great experience in using their services for my dog. She suffers from regular ear infections and allergies, and Embrace has been an easy process for claims. Can't say enough good things about Embrace Pet Insurance. It is one of the best.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
