Extreme increase in premiums

Extreme increase in premiums this year!!! My dog is 15 years old and I started her on the insurance when she was 10. Had steadily increased a little over time but this year they nearly tripled my premiums. If you have an older dog look elsewhere or really compare with other plans. Very deceptive and didn't even provide proper justification for increase or when I asked for the decision that it was based on.

I've been really impressed Embrace Insurance—pet insurance that works…

I've been really impressed with Embrace. They keep you updated on claim status right away instead of leaving you guessing, and more importantly, they actually pay out claims promptly. After being skeptical about pet insurance, Embrace changed my mind. No runaround, no endless paperwork battles—just straightforward service when my pet needed care. If you're looking for pet insurance that isn't a hassle, I'd definitely recommend giving them a try.

The best insurance I've ever had.

The best insurance I've ever had. Our girl piper has had a healthy 7 years, and we started our policy with embrace when she was 4. We hadn't had a need to use it yet, but in her 7th year she started having some non-fatty masses appear. This was really scary, but after she was scanned and settled, we submitted our claims to embrace. They ended up covering 80%+ of the cost of these procedures, and have made us very comfortable with the idea of taking care of our girl. I can't imagine the decisions we'd have to make if we didn't have Embrace. 11/5 stars.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
