Amazing response time.

I wqas impressed with how quickly my claim was processed after Blazer's surgery. My past experience with other insurers had left me with a jaded expectation of results. I had an acknowledgement of my claim in less than a week with a check in the mail. Wow!

I love Embrace

Having Newfoundlands, every vet visit is expensive. Illness or accidents cost a lot. I never have to fight with Embrace to get them to cover issues. I just have the vet fill in the form, I email it to them and in a couple weeks I have my reimbursement check.They are a great company that does what they promise!

Surprisingly Wonderful Experience

My cocker spaniel came down with Distichiasis and Corneal ulcers in both eyes and required surgery to to remove the distichiasis. Within two weeks of my claim being submitted my reimbursement was directly deposited in to my bank account. Couldn't be happier.

Excellent coverage & customer service

I have been with Embrace over a year and they are excellent. They pay expeditiously. Their coverage is excellent. Payment on my last claim was deposited into my account in 2 weeks. Whenever I call them they are friendly & helpful, always ask about my dog and how he is doing,

Problem Understanding Claims process

I contracted Pet Insurance last year for my Dog's leg injury . They were referred by my Veterinarian. I found the folks there to be very friendly, knowledgeable and understanding when I called for questions regarding the Policy, etc. However, after submitting my claim information from various doctors and having the doctors send additional information (as requested by Embrace), I had NO idea of what I was being paid for, what was approved or not and understanding how the actual payment was calculated AFTER my deductible. Their system is NOT easy to understand and for as much money as I spent for the care of my pet in 2011, I should at least be able to KNOW and UNDERSTAND how his Insurance Coverage is determined. I have since Canceled my Policy with them.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
