Useless

Virtually nothing is covered anymore. They keep insisting that my dog has a Pre-existing condition although he sent them a letter disputing this- 2 years ago. Probably going to search for another company. Claims now take forever to process. This was a great company 3 years ago.

Great, timely customer service

Embrace account representatives were very prompt in responding to questions I had regarding my claim. They walked me through my first submission, which was a combination wellness and "sick" visit. The response time of follow up emails was incredibly quick. Directions given and answers provided were very clear. I got an email saying they were sorry about the slow processing time of my refund, and the next day it was in my mailbox!If only the healthcare system for humans could be so efficient, we would all be in much better hands!

New to Pet Insurance

After spending thousands on our last dog and cat I decided to invest in pet insurance with our new dog. I read many reviews and selected Embrace based on what I'd read. The staff has been pleasant, and the company has been great to work with although it was a rocky start with missing forms and a missing check. The company has paid well for an echocardiogram and x-rays as well as the more mundane visits. Staff is very diligent about keeping me updated with the claim status. I wish the turnaround time on claims was a bit speedier, though. I would and have recommended Embrace.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
