Excellent company

Embrace provides insurance in a very caring way.
Embrace provides very comprehensive coverage,and we have never had an issue with a claim.
Recently Griffin, one of our Great Danes, bloated. Our Vet commented on the generous fraction of the costs that Embrace covered. Yesterday, I got an email from Christine. She had noted the seriousness of the injury and wrote to inquire how Griffin was doing. This was an extremely kind gesture.
We alway get progress emails from Embrace when a claim has been submitted and the settlements are prompt. If some of the documentation is missing in the claim submission, they will contact the vet, making the claim process relatively painless for the pet owner.
We have renewed our coverage several times and will continue to do so.

I recommend Embrace to our Bark Park friends
Last summer our dog Penny's face swelled terribly, and her breathing became labored from a possible bee sting. A trip to an ER Vet fixed her up, and Embrace quickly applied the bill to her deductible.Late in the year Penny could not keep her food down for several days. Her vet was able to resolve the issue after a two day stay. About this same time Penny began having bladder issues. This was resolved as well.
Embrace came through and quickly sent a check covering the bilss upon submission of our claims. We are very impressed with Embrace and the personalized service we received.

Embrace Insurance is comprehensive, responsive and user friendly. Sager is a high valued service dog as well as a well known member of the island of Kauai. He sustained an injury during a play date with our pastor's airdale. Sager would yelp whenever he made certain movements with his neck area. A veterinarian's exam revealed tenderness in the soft tissue of the left side of his neck. During the months that followed Sager required pain and anti-inflammatory medications as well as acupuncture and laser therapy weekly. When his progress was slow we traveled with him to another island for a CAT scan and examination with a specialist.All the while Embrace workers kept pace with monitoring his care and communicating with us via email and EOBs'. The Embrace staff was both competent and friendly.

Buyer beware - not for routine healthcare
We had a $177 routine checkup and ear infection bill for our otherwise healthy 3 1/2 year old Golden, which we dutifully submitted. After having the vet send several years of doctor's notes to Embrace, we finally got "reimbursed." Out of the $177, only $26.40 were eligible and were applied towards the $500 annual deductible.
It turns out that only the ear infection antibiotic was covered. The heartworm test, heartworm preventative, and fecal test... all disallowed. So, this insurance is really for catastrophes and serious injuries, not for routine doctor visits. We hope that we don't ever have to use it.
We still want the insurance, but we were very disappointed that all the routine charges were not applied to the deductible.
Monthly Cost
$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
