Policy honored as advertised

I started policies on my 3 healthy cats last year and initially only needed the wellness service (that also is paid as advertised and is a great deal). One of my cats developed a chronic cough this year and has had a fair bit of workup & treatment...and my Embrace policy has worked as expected. I have hit a few speedbumps with the vet's office not filling out the form entirely correctly, but everything has been resolved and I have been reimbursed as expected per my policy. I am pleased that this seems to be an honorable compamy providing a real service! Highly recommend.

Claims

I submitted my first claim just about a month ago. The process was simple and the reimbursement was painless. I received updates via email on the status of my claim and was able to check the web site if I wanted as well. It was nice to receive the money back, but most of all to know that my puppies are in good hands with Embrace.

The best as usual!

Again, we thank you for taking care of Augie's bill. Thank goodness vet visits are on the decline, but we still have our share. We own a dog grooming shop and refer all of our puppy customers to you. You are the best!

Beware

I am pretty sure that if a vet wrote on an evaluation form that an animal was breathing air and that their heart was beating, Embrace would use the information to declare that there were pre-existing respiratory and cardiac issues. I quit this company before I ever filed a claim, because if you take good care of your animals and take them to the vet for what are obviously one-time and not chronic issues, Embrace will still find a way to designate a pre-existing conditions. Don't waste your money.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
