Disappointed
I purchased Embrace pet insurance thinking I was doing a good thing when I rescued my 3-month old puppy. However, 1-week prior to receiving coverage, my puppy was treated for a bladder infection. Little did I know that this would have resulted in a pre-existing condition and all of my future claims, because my dog is prone to it due to her inverted vulva, have been denied. On top of this all claim processing is extremely slow.

Ariel's Patella Luxation Surgery
Upon return from our beach vacation we noticed Ariel walking funny. After taking her to the vet we were stunned to find out that she had a grade four patella luxation. Little Ariel has not turned one year yet! After contacting Embrace we were relieved that the surgery would be covered under Ariel's policy. We are so happy to have Embrace insurance! We were then able to focus on Ariel's surgery and recovery without worrying about the cost.
Monthly Cost
$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.
Coverage
You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan.
The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.
Payout Limits
Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.
Deductible
Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.
Age Limits
Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll.
New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage.
Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.
Waiting Period
There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions are not covered.
Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active.
Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian.
Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
