I have never filed a claim for my pet before and my first experience was a good one for sure. the wellness claim for is simple to complete and the turn around time on the claim review is terrific. I work for an insurance company and although I do not work in claims I would rate the response time as excellent.

I have a dachshund and I got Embrace pet insurance because they cover "breed specifice" illnesses. Dachshunds are very prone to back issues (IVDD) and I wanted to make sur that the pet insurance I bought would cover back surgery since it is very costly. I decided to get covered after hearing my neighbor's story with her dachshund in February 2015. Luck would have it that MY dachshund ended up having three slipped discs because of IVDD in April 2015 and needed back surgery. The surgery cost me $6,000 but Embrace covered 80% of it. I was extremely afraid that Embrace would reject my claim for some ridiculuous reason, but they did not! They honored the claim and processed it within a week. Excellent company and worth the money to buy the insurance!

Prior claims were settled quickly. This clam was a filed in mid March, after numerous phone calls & faxeds, it was settled in mid June!

Recently, my 9 year old cat needed a distemper booster shot, and for the first time in his life, he had a bad reaction to it. He was back and forth to the vet for two weeks getting fluids and receiving treatment. We were so worried about him! Thank Heavens I didn't worry so much about the bills, and could focus on being sure he got the treatment he needed. His illness and the treatments and medications were covered! I would never have a pet without insurance ever.
