BE MORE SPECIFIC ABOUT WHAT DATA IS NEEDED

Emails from Embrace are non- specific about what is needed to completely finish processing the claim. A phone call is needed by the policyholder to determine what is needed. Often after 2-3 submissions, the claim is still not processed. I am now calling again for the 3rd time about a claim for over $1,000 from January9, 2026.. The needed data was sent by both my vet and myself..

Be aware

Most of the customer service representative were helpful and nice. However my bill increased by $45.00/month. My plan is expensive and does not even include wellness visits. When I first became a customer, they labeled my 6 pound Yorkie vicious, and my other Yorkie with anxiety because he needed medicine once for a car drive to Florida for motion sickness because he vomits un the car. They just label your dog so the company does not to cover any potential/future issues. My vet records never used words or implied that my dog was anxious or vicious. I’m in the process of shopping around now for new insurance.

A disappointing experience

My puppy's surgery was denied because her hip issue was diagnosed during the orthopedic waiting period. I know this is my fault, but it just left me with such a bad view of this company. I submitted an appeal and hoped they would reconsider, but they didn't (if they had, they would've had a customer for life). I've been using them for three pets since 2021 and recommended them to half a dozen people. They've barely paid anything for my other pets because of the deductible and they keep raising rates. So, I switched the puppy to Lemonade that has much higher coverage amount for the same monthly fee. I honestly don't think any of these companies are great, but I'm not keeping the puppy with this company for her entire life after this happened - they also won't cover any stomach issues because she threw up once on the way home from picking her up from the shelter.

My first claims ever

I had some questions about my claims so I called the Claims department. The rep named Veronica was awesome. Very knowledgeable and fast when answering all my questions. The experience was extremely positive. I would recommend the company to anyone if my first interaction is the standard. Very grateful. And my claims were process efficiently and fast. Thank you.

⭐ One Star – Extremely Disappointing and Possibly Deceptive

I originally rated this pet insurance company four stars, but I am now changing my review to one star due to repeated claim denials and what feels like intentional runaround tactics. My dog’s wellness claim for neutering and a tooth extraction has been denied multiple times under the excuse that they are “missing medical records.” This is simply not true. His full medical records have been sent multiple times — by my veterinarian, by their office staff calling directly, and by me personally. My dog was adopted at six months old. He was a puppy. The original vet provided all records they had, which were vaccination records only. There were no prior conditions, no claims, and nothing else to send. He is now just over two years old, yet this company keeps requesting records from 12 months prior to him even being born, which is impossible. Despite repeated explanations, phone calls, and documentation, the claim continues to be denied with the same generic response. At this point, it feels less like a mistake and more like a deliberate attempt to avoid paying valid claims. If you are considering this company, be aware that you may pay premiums faithfully only to have legitimate claims denied over and over again for reasons that make no sense. Sadly, I’m starting to question whether this company operates in good faith at all.
