Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I was very disappointed. It was the first time I had purchased pet insurance. We rescued an older dog from the humane society. He sat in the kennel for months and nobody was interested…because he was old. Once we got him out of the kennel, we realized he was so very sweet. I was fearful nobody would come for him or even worse. We took him home, best dog ever. We decided to get pet insurance so we could take the best care of him. We had embrace for a couple months when they suddenly wanted to do a review of his health. We had no history of his health being a stray. They contacted our Vet to inquire of their findings. It was all things that older dogs have. Embrace asked that we do over $2,000 worth of testing to rule out pre-existing conditions. Of course we did not have that lump sum at the time. I was under the false impression that pet insurance really wants to help you take care of the pet that means so much to you. We will need to find another way to cover whatever he needs in the future.

Embrace has been great to work with. Claims are paid quickly. Coverage is easy to understand and representatives are knowledgeable and responsive when you want to make changes to coverage.

I did my research when it came to coverage and the wellness plans. However, I called the 800 number and I'm glad I did. The rep answered my questions and was able to provide additional discounts (hundreds in $avings). Great overall customer service.

The customer service was very good. When they received the information from the Dr they reviewed and responded within a reasonable time. Thank you
