Peace of mind and very helpful

When I got my standard poodle, a breed champion and accomplished obedience performer, I wanted to make sure I'd have the resources to treat him if something catastrophic happened. I got a high-deductible plan and rarely sent in any receipts for his first 4 1/2 years. And then he was diagnosed with Addison's disease and by the time we finished his diagnosis and initial treatment he had met his deductible, and then some. I always feared that his medical expenses might be related to accident or injury, but I'm very grateful that I kept the insurance all this time. Ultimately, I wish I didn't have to use it, but the peace of mind is worth the modest price.

Embrace-able

Embrace has been amazing since getting my yorkie 3 years ago. She's had some serious stomach issues and it should've cost me thousands of dollars but it didn't. I'm beyond glad they're in business. Before they did direct deposit, checks were mailed in a timely manner. Their customer service is amazing! I plan to be a customer as long as I keep my Coco-nut Chanel. Keep up the great work! I continue to refer my friends as soon as I find out they've gotten a pet.

Best Insurance for Older Dogs

We didn't purchase pet insurance for our mini-doxie until he was 10 and it's very difficult to find any coverage at that age. Embrace not only covers his accidents and injuries but any future illnesses, as well. Their service is top-notch and claim reimbursement is fast and efficient.

Monthly Cost

$13 – $100, depending on your chosen plan.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 10%, 20% or 30% after your deductible, depending on your chosen plan. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Annual limit of $2000, $5000, $10,000 or $15,000.

Deductible

Annual deductible options from $100 – $1,000.

Age Limits

Pet must be at least 6 weeks old to enroll. New pets over 14 are eligible for accident-only coverage. Once enrolled, pets can stay insured regardless of age.

Waiting Period

There is a two-week illness waiting period, which begins on your policies’ effective date. Orthopedic conditions have additional Waiting or exclusion periods that vary by state.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Hereditary and congenital conditions are covered if they have not been diagnosed or suspected before the policy becomes active. Main plan covers alternative treatments such as chiropractic, acupuncture and homeopathic when provided by a licensed veterinarian. Optional wellness and prescription drug plans are available for an additional cost.
