Had this insurance for the past year

Had this insurance for the past year. Dog was never really sick so obviously had no issues.their insurance is great as long as you don’t really need it or file any claims. However with some recent health problems I decided to try and make some changes to our policy. Was told if I did this it’s considered a “restart” and any health issues that occurred after the start of my first policy would now be considered pre-existing condition and wouldn’t be covered. Only option was to cancel. Anyways was able to build and customize my new policy over at Figo with no issues.

After two years of paying premiums for…

Update Stay away from Embrace Pet insurance As expected by delay and continued requests for more information claim was denied. I’m glad I found out after small claim before needed in future. I’ll be better off putting the $1900 a year away I was paying them. With increases every year it would be more BTW I emailed as reply suggested , crickets I have replied with policy number they couldn’t find I stand by my one star review, all I was got was need more information even though vet sent everything requested. Embrace works hard not to cover After two years of paying premiums for 2 dogs, one had an issue that treatment total was about $100 over deductible. Even for this amount all I got was delays and Embrace looking for way not to pay claims. My advice is stay away from Embrace.

Pet insurance is for peace of mind

I bought the insurance to cover the emergency situation where you get a bill that could be thousands of dollars. I didn’t want to be faced with making that decision on the spot. Our new dog had a laceration needed emergency surgery. The process was easy to file a claim ;you do it on your phone. There was a mistake in the processing, but they corrected it quickly. Once corrected I sent follow up bills every four days for dressing changes and they processed them within 24 hours. My expectations were met and I’m glad I bought it to be perfectly honest. Pet insurance is not necessarily financially a win. The problem is you have a pet that develops a totally unexpected problem that could run anywhere from 1 to $8000. You have to decide on the spot. You don’t want to be in the situation of saying I suddenly having to come up with lots of money or taking your pet home for comfort care. The purpose of the insurance is for the unexpected catastrophic problem. If you’re buying it for routine care, I would not recommend it.
