Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

Great idea to have insurance especially with a highly active breed or a breed predisposed to certain conditions. We have used the insurance dozens of times (antibiotics, flea meds, heart worm preventative, vaccinations) and it has paid for itself, practically. Customer service is always helpful and friendly.

The handling of claims were fast & efficient & without any issues

I adopted a pup about 3 months ago and immediately signed up for insurance through Embrace. They have already made a mistake of putting periodontal disease as a pre-existing condition which is not listed anywhere in any of his records, nor does he have this issue (as he is still just a puppy). My vet is completely confused by this, and is now having to write a letter to Embrace to try and get this fixed. So because someone at Embrace made a mistake, I'm having to go through the appeal process, and my very busy vet is having to go through the hassle of writing a letter. So far, not impressed.

We are very pleased with Embrace. My vet processes the claims for us and we immediately get a response from Embrace and reimbursement in a timely manner. Highly recommend Embrace for your pet(s).

We have 4 dogs insured with Embrace. Called to add a fifth..new to our family French Bulldog puppy. Embrace was willing to add pup to our policy but for some maddening reason would charge us a retroactive payment to align coverage enrollment date with other dogs on policy. This would have meant we were paying insurance on the new pup BEFORE he was even BORN. Unacceptable. We went with another insurer and intend to not renew existing policies. I asked.."Embrace is willing to lose 4 policies totaling more than $3k annual premiums because of a $90 charge to add an animal that wasn't even born during coverage period in question?" Sorry, sir, that's the way our system works. Too bad.
