Embrace was there

Although it's never good to have an ill pet, Embrace was there to help along the way. Don't mistake the process - there are still precautions you have to take out to ensure you're getting help (keeping up to date on records, immunizations and documentation), but once reviewed, they were able to help with some of the hospital bills.

Unless your puppy just came out of the womb don't go with Embrace

Embrace Pet Insurance is highly rated all over the web, and they are even a chosen partner of USAA (of which we are members). They give multi-pet discounts and were recommended the best deal for my aging dog. What looked promising on the outside differs from that once you are a member of this company. They will go to whatever lengths necessary to question and deny your claims. I would not recommend this company to anyone who has ever taken their pet to a veterinarian and/or has any kind of medical history. Health conditions that seem unrelated? They will dig through your pet’s medical history, find a connection, and refuse to reimburse you. I had a 10-month-old puppy for whom I enrolled with Embrace at six months. He swallowed a squeaker a few weeks ago. I took him for scans and imaging, which were inconclusive. But we knew after an exhaustive search of our home he ate it, and we saw him eat it. Embrace refused to cover these items because I had taken my puppy in for vomiting before signing up for Embrace, which was labeled a “temporary pre-existing condition” for one year. Because he swallowed a foreign body and was vomiting due to it, any treatment was considered a “pre-existing temporary condition.” Just this week, an endoscopy located the squeaker, they removed it surgically, and now I have to go back and dispute that initial exam that involved x-rays and imaging. I’m also crossing my toes and fingers that they will cover the removal of the squeaker and not find that he has a “temporary pre-existing condition” of being a puppy who swallows stuff. This week, we had to take my six-year-old dog in for lethargy and not eating. I submitted the claim, and now they are doing a review of her medical history 12 months before signing up her up for Embrace. I’m sure they will find something. They must have thousands of adjusters locked up in a big warehouse somewhere pouring over pet medical records. Yes, these claims may eventually all be covered, but I’ve spent a lot of time and heartache requesting letters from vets, asking they follow up with Embrace, and on the phone with Embrace. Even if they are covered, I will likely return to Healthy Paws, which I wish I had never left. Moral of this story: Unless your puppy just came out of the womb, don’t go with Embrace.

This company is a giant RIP OFF

This company is a giant RIP OFF. They will always find a way to NOT pay a claim filed on your pet. Very expensive and you get NOTHING in return. I cancelled my pet policy and DO NOT recommend anyone getting this policy!

Quick, Stress Free Reimbursement Process

I've had a little too much experience filing emergency medical claims for my dog this year, but Embrace has made the process of filing claims and getting reimbursed quick and stress free. They have also been very good about honoring their commitment to cover allowable medical expenses under my policy. I would definitely recommend them to all of my friends looking to buy pet insurance.

They still won't process a claim I…

They still won't process a claim I have. My pet has had several physicals and yet they say they do not have a physical on record. Why do I bother carrying your insurance when you delay and put on hold any claims I submit? I'm tired of having to call and work this out with an agent. EC 0521-8050
