Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

So far. We have had a wonderful response and reimbursement from Embrace. I have recommended it to all my friends who have pets. And I have had a close friend and my family sign up for Embrace. I hope they get the same customer service as I have experienced.

The process is very smooth. Customer service is what it should be.......very helpful with invoices.

Online claim submission straight forward. Would suggest instructions include that claim submission asks first for expense information and then, secondly, injury/illness and treatment information. Also, allow documentation to be appended to diagnosis and treatment information.

If you've taken your pet to the vet before, Embrace is likely not for you. My expectation was clear pre-existing conditions would be covered but had no idea how one-sided their rulings would be with an intentionally cumbersome appeal process. Had your dog in for the vet to look at a benign cyst a year ago? Embrace's stance: "All types of cancers are permanently ineligible for coverage" Our pet recently was cut on his stomach incidentally by the groomer and Embrace determined that an ear infection a year prior made it ineligible since it was related to the "derm." We were highly dissatisfied with their claim process and their support team.

I've filed numerous claims and all have been denied. Most recently I was sent an email stating all of the pre-existing conditions. One of which was vomiting and tartar build up. Literally there's an excuse for everything. I was then provided the terms and conditions again. I would have been better off saving the monthly $70 to put towards my pup's needs.
