Scam artists. Sloppy ones, at that.
We were cautiously optimistic that the pet insurance we paid good money for would finally be useful when our pup was diagnosed with a soft-tissue sarcoma months after we started our coverage. But, like all insurance companies, Embrace did everything possible to avoid holding up their side of the deal. They denied our claim for surgery and treatment with a hollow and absolutely pathetic argument about their pre-existing conditions policy.
Just understand that they will, without a doubt, weasel their way out of any obligation they have to cover your pet. And they’ll do it shamelessly, with the most mealy-mouthed legalese imaginable. Maybe the most pathetic thing about Embrace, though, is their utterly transparent lack of competence. While they deceitfully attempted to explain why they are denying our rightful claim to the coverage we paid for, they made blatant errors about the most basic facts of the case/claim (e.g., which side of the body the tumor was on, which anatomical space the tumor was on, etc.).
Don’t make the same mistake we did buying Embrace pet insurance. You’re better off paying out of pocket from the start, since that’s what you’ll be doing anyway.
P.S. If you have any doubts about the unethical nature of this company, just take a look at the comments they make on the negative reviews here. The feigned sincerity while they spit in your face is nauseating.
