We have been very impressed with Embrace Pet Insurance. Their mobile site was extremely easy to use and our claim was processed and refunded to our account very quickly. We were glad we had Embrace and it was one less thing to have to worry about while we navigated our dog’s illness.

They do not pay their claims with any kind of professionalism. If you have a super young dog with absolutely NO issues, they may pay your claim, maybe not??? If you have a middle-aged dog that you take care of with a vet annually, beware! I went back and forth for weeks trying to get the claim filed to their liking and came up empty. I literally jumped through hoops. Although our 8-year-old mix was cleared on the initial health screening for underwriting purposes, they happily took our money and yet denied coverage when we filed a claim.

Embrace Pet Insurance is a racket and a…

Embrace Pet Insurance is a racket and a scam. They will tell you pre-existing conditions might be covered in a year, to get you to buy their insurance. Then a year later they tell you it’s not. They will decide your pet has a pre-existing condition, not tell you about it, and then you will have to find out when you submit your claim and it is denied. They also classified a skin condition as pre-existing, and every other type of skin issue then fell under that label, even when they were different, Alopecia versus a scratch. This allowed them to deny all claims associated with my pet’s skin; no matter what it was. What a joke! Go somewhere else! This has been the biggest waste of my time and money! SCAM!!!!

First Time Pet Insurance after years of pet adoption

This is the first time I have ever had pet insurance, and I did a lot of research before I chose Embrace insurance. I have had kitties for many years as my pets. At times I had to not take my pets in for exams due to financial balancing. I guess it all comes down to prioritizing the important things in life for anyone who makes the decision to adopt a pet. It's like not having health insurance for yourself, and not going to see the doctor because you cannot afford it. Ironically enough, I can afford pet insurance now that I am retired. When I was working, I had more financial obligations than I do now. Plus, pet insurance is not as expensive as I had been led to believe for many years. Now I even pay for a wellness plan so that for toenail trims and vaccinations for my kitty I am reimbursed 90% (you can choose what percentage you can afford). For me, it is worth it. I had to take my kitty, Buffie, who is 11 and a half years old, to urgent care about 10 days ago. It cost over $1000. However, she got excellent care, and although due to one of her diagnoses being a chronic one I was not reimbursed, at least half of the bill was reimbursed. Kind of like having dental insurance where the insurance will pay for half the cost of a crown, for instance. To me, it is worth it, and my kitty is better. The icing on the cake is the compassion and the passion of those who work for Embrace, which comes through in their communication with me. I cannot recommend Embrace pet insurance enough.
