Embrace | Pet Insurance Review

I submitted a claim for flea meds. I submitted the invoice from Costco and was told I needed a prescription from the vet. I sent in the prescription and was told I needed something called a "Go sheet" from Costco. The example matched the sticker on the meds box so I sent that in. Then, I was told that Costco's invoice only had an RX number and not the actual name for the flea meds. So, I went back to Costco and, after research, they are mailing me another invoice (they don't do emails!). All in all, it is taken me nearly two months, numerous emails, and two phone calls to simply get reimbursed for flea medication. This is insane!

I cannot express how thankful I am that the claim process was so simple during such a hard time. Insurance is one of those things that you don't think about until you need it and when you need it, you don't want it to be difficult. The level of coverage, the customer service, and pricing are all great and well worth it! Highly recommend!

Could not BE easier to file a claim! Finally, one easy part of my day!

My first time with pet insurance. Because I love USAA so much I decided to try Embrace. Now I am second guessing myself. I have had Embrace for over a year my monthly went from $68.00 per month to $95.33 monthly. Every claim has been denied except a $19.00 payment that was applied to my deductible. I feel like I am just giving Embrace money to just give them money. I can't afford to just give them money and pay my Vet bill as well. Will cancel this policy soon. Will not and can not recommend. Hate USAA is standing behind this insurance.

Marie, the CSR who patiently walked me through & explained why my premium went up so much and cancelled it at my request in a very understanding manner. Then, when I reconsidered & decided to keep my younger cat on the policy, nicely helped me re-instate my policy & then remove my senior cat. She put up with a lot. Embrace should give her a raise. Also, Embrace, I have been with you for a long time now. Why are my premiums higher than a new customer's premium? Backwards thinking.
