This is a total scam

After paying hundreds of dollars for four months, all my claims were denied because of so-called pre-existing conditions that they only told me about after I had filed the claims. Pre-existing conditions according to them include diarrhea because he’d had it in prior months, so that wouldn’t be covered for the first year he was insured. This is a total scam: they should have reviewed my dog’s medical history when I first registered him & not take my money for months & then deny all my claims.

premium increases are entirely too high

While coverage is decent the premium increases are WOAH. I started out paying $45 a month and in 4 years I’m not paying more than double ($108/month). The rep and supervisor both just spouted out the same insurance propaganda without much to offer except to lower my plan to change my rate. After reviewing all of my options anything worth the change to save me more than $5 or so would dramatically reduce my coverage. I get it. Insurance companies have premiums. But a 35% increase in one year?? If my dog lives another 4 years I’ll be paying over $300 a month! Edit- clearly the commenter didn’t read my comment thoroughly at all. As they just reverberated the exact same answer the rep and supervisor did and didn’t read where I said I already went through all the options to change my plan around. The point of my post was a “buyer beware” that the rate of inflation is astronomical.

Awful customer service (as in they don’t get back to you in a timely way) and they way they have “preexisting conditions” set up for someone that had adopted a pet isnt conducive of having me want to adopt another rescue animal from any shelter His so-called pre-existing condition was a wound from a horsefly or deerfly bite that got infected… To me that is not pre-existing unless this dog was brought up on a farm somewhere, and not knowing his history that did not work in my favor A 200.00 vet bill that was only having 26.00 coverd for a nail trimming 200.00 isnt going to Break the bank on their end considering how much I’m paying for “ Insurance “

I put in a claim yes it took a LONG time like everyone said. Then the claim was preexisting…. How is that proven? There was no record of a preexisting condition. So if you can’t prove something was preexisting, how do you deny a claim and say it was preexisting? If you want to try to claim that you should either require an exam before coverage can begin or change the waiting period or come up with a way to back a claim such as preexisting up. If you can’t then guess what you should do what you’re supposed to do.
