I LOVE Embrance Pet Insurance

I LOVE Embrance Pet Insurance. They are ALWAYS so polite and helpful when I call them, plus when I submit a claim, I get my money back quickly. I would NOT be without Pet Insurance and Embrace covers EVERYTHING (wellness and accidents). I could NOT find any Insurance that provides the coverage Embrace gives...believe me I looked long and hard. Embrace is THE BEST!!!

Claims Process is Lengthy and Unreasonable

My cat had an ultrasound of her heart. Due to her coughing being a pre-existing condition, they wouldn’t cover the costs. However, the ultrasound on her heart was due to her breed, not her cough. The claims process took months. After claim was denied, I canceled policy. I was tired of paying premium cost and being taken around in loops. Not to mention, they excluded dental exams due to claiming that my cat had preexisting dental disease. My cat does not have dental disease. She has a typical amount of plaque. This pet insurance was a scam.

Long time user but do not recommend anymore

I have had Emnrace for years for my previous pets, but things have really gone downhill for my latest pet. While transferring ownership of a secondary pet, Embrace ended up cancelling insurance on my primary pet by mistake. This created issues down the line because they started rejecting claims saying they were preexisting conditions, even though it was their error that the policy had mistakenly been cancelled till I realized it had been and rectified. I still stuck with them despite several claims being denied for the slightest reason, till they started increasing my premiums by year over 40%. This is despite never having paid out on a claim for the past 3 years. When I called to ask about it, I was told it was being raised because my pet was getting older. This is patently absurd as the whole point of getting a pet insured while they are young is to take advantage of lower premiums... my dog isn't even that old--she's 6. I feel going forward, it would be best to self insure as it is not worth paying premiums and deductibles only for claims to be denied and prices to be raised. Embrace really needs to revisit their past strengths and have a good long look as to their current practices.
