Overall frustrating experience...
Filed a claim based on an estimate from my vet. Got an invoice later that day but found that I could not add docs to the claim. About a week later my account showed the claim completed and reimbursement sent via direct deposit to my bank account. I assumed that ASPCA had contacted vet and verified the actual bill. 5 business days go by nothing in my bank. Call up customer service and rep tells me they do not pay on estimates ..I have to file another claim with the actual invoice. I say " but the computer says the original claim has already been paid.." Maddening!!
I have filed another claim ...now I expect to hear that their records show they have already paid that claim..
Even more maddening!!
Pet insurance is just not worth it..I have paid way, way, way more in premiums than If i had just paid cash out of pocket to the vet and on top of this is all this opaque bureaucratic nonsense designed to make it difficult to get a legit claim paid. Don't get me started on the customer service wait times!!
