Confidence

My dog had gastritis due to overeating and stealing food. I was kept current with the claim via email and I thought the reimbursement was fair. The claim was handled quickly and I also received a followup. I will continue to use this insurance company. When my dog was younger, I had used a different company and the reimbursement was lower with a higher deductible.

ASPCA's coverage is lousy

ASPCA says that it covers 90% of the usual and customary charges for verterinary care. It does not say how it determines what is usual and customary, and I have submitted two claims now, and in both cases ASPCA decided that "usual and customary" was about a third less than what I was actually charged by my vet. I will be switching to different pet insurance.

Pleased with new Plan arrangements.

I was pleased to be advised that many aspects of Routine Wellness checks are now covered. I have always taken my dog for an annual checkup regardless, but as well as helping me financially, I feel it will encourage owners to get these check ups. Just as with humans, checkups can spot and head off serious problems, which can be costly both financially and health wise. The representatives I have spoken to have all been courteous, helpful and animal friendly!

Spring season vet bills

What a season this spring was. I the last six weeks we had our dog Dexter get fox tails in his ear canal that ruptured his ear drum. Three weeks later he had another fox tail in the same ear and two up his nostril!? Then, within a week our other dog Bella stepped on a baby rattlesnake. Thank goodness for good vet care. And after racking up $1400 in vet bills, the accident coverage helped cover a good portion of the cost. It makes sense to carry the ASPCA Insurance Accident Level I for our animals because of the hazards of living on a ranch.

An honest and efficient insurer

I subscribed to ASPCA Pet Insurance after multiple extremely poor experiences with one of the other major pet insurers. A friend who had similar experience as I with that former insurer also switched to ASPCA. We are both extremely happy and satisfied with ASPCA. Their support staff is knowledgeable and courteous. Unlike my dog's previous insurer, every claim is not first rejected and subsequently honored after the rejection is protested. The terms and conditions set forth in their policy are understandable and adhered to. I do think some of their reimbursement limits are on the low side but they are what I agreed to when I bought the policy. I heartily recommend ASPCA Pet Insurance for their honesty, integrity and caring to anyone seeking the peace of mind such insurance gives.
