Very Good Overall

We've had the ASPCA for several years and have 2 small dogs insured with them. Overall, we have been very pleased with them, and for us, it has definitely been worth the cost since one of our dogs has had 4 bladder stone surgeries. My criticisms are: 1. Even when prescribed by the treating veterinarian, special diets and food and supplements are not covered 2. The claims department's "reasonable and customary charges" are always lower than what my vet charges. We live in a higher cost of living area and I haven't been able to find a vet in my area that charges what they say are "reasonable and customary". Furthermore, my vet has a waiting room full of patients who obviously believe that the charges are reasonable. So, they need to review how they are coming up with these amounts allowed and revise accordingly.

So easy and Sooo worth it!

After our first major vet visit with our dog we discovered ASPCA pet insurance. They came highly recommended by our vets office, and have been super easy to use from day one. Our breed is predisposed to many conditions and Cancers, and we have found they cover pretty much everything! Making a claim is super easy, and they are always prompt to reimburse us. Just recently our older dog was diagnosed with cancer. I called to discuss what was covered under his plan, and the first thing they did was comfort me. Ask how he was and walk me through the process. They even went over extras that are covered in his plan with end of life services. We got a puppy a couple of months ago, and the day I brought her home I called and added her to our plan. We get health insurance for ourselves, and our kids. Why not our pets?:)

Prompt payment

This was a no hassle claim process. My Yorkie became sick, my vet treated her and I submitted a claim with no hassles or hidden cost anywhere.
