Very happy.

Very happy with this pet insurance. They pay as committed, no surprises on what is not covered (mmmm.... lots of surprises with my human health insurance on that front!!) They pay fairly quickly (including direct deposit option). Very helpful if you need to call them to ask a question on anything, and the people I encountered on the phone are clearly fans of the animals and people who care for them. My cat had everything from abscesses (from playing with the neighborhood ferals) to kidney issues in the end. He lived a full life. I now have 2 new kittens and I signed them up for ASPCA insurance.

I was hesitant about pet insurance but was proven

We had just purchased a miniature dachshund puppy, Hans. He was only with us a couple of months before developing stomach problems. Based on the vomiting and x-rays, it appeared he had eaten something. He had to have exploratory surgery which didn't solve the problem. He's been on numerous meds and special foods. ASPCA didn't hesitate covering any of his illness' treatments. They were quick with processing and a refund, called to confirm the claim was completed, and have called numerous times to check on him. The plan has already paid for itself as far as we are concerned. I've been recommending it to everyone!!!!

Something you wish you had

My veterinarian suggested pet insurance after my less than 2 year old Vizsla went in for her second bowel obstruction in a 4 month time span. I researched the numerous ones on the internet and decided to go with ASPCA. For a couple of years, there were no doctor visits yet still had the peace of mind of having it. Automatic renewal is a plus as well. Recently I had to use it twice for a barbed wire accident and an eye issue. It was incredibly easy to fill out the claims and within a week, I was reimbursed. Plus their staff loves pets and get to bring them to work. How cool is that!

Injury Covered

I joined ASPCA in February. The very next month we really needed it. My Dachshund/Chihuahua mix was running outside and ruptured a disc in her lower back. This left her paralyzed almost immediately! I took her to an Animal Neurology center where they did an MRI and did surgery to remove the spinal compression. Summer had to stay in the hospital for nearly a week. Needless to say, my medical bill was very steep. I submitted my claim and crossed my fingers that the surgery and all of the other necessities would be covered. They covered 90% less her annual deductible! I was so relieved as I didn't know how I was going to pay off that credit card bill! I am a very happy client so far!
