Keep looking - better insurance out there.
Unhappy with how they handled my last claim. My dog chipped his tooth, my policy covers 90% dental extractions. The dentist wants to do a root canal for treatment which isn’t covered. ASPCA refuses all financial assistance. They should have offered to at least pay a portion of the root canal, since they would have paid 90% of the extraction. We aren’t able to do the extraction due to dentist recommendations. Very unfair and unethical. Poor communication. Wouldn’t recommend to a friend.

ASPCA has been invaluable to me and my cat Tez. I am deeply appreciative for their help in the recovery of his illness. Tez has been through a lot. He had an amputation of his back left leg last year due to a sarcoma and ASPCA helped us immensely.
This year he developed an extremely rare Lymphoma on the other back leg. Traditional treatments would not be an option because he has both diabetes and an enlarged heart. Vet prescribed CBD with Right Ratio, was not covered however, and this is the treatment that has been successful for him. Very difficult not having ASPCA on my our side, when this has proven to be an extremely viable treatment for animal disease.
Hence, the 4 stars.

Aspca pet insurence has been a life…
Aspca pet insurence has been a life safer for my dog. He ended up needing knee surgery twice and they covered it with no problems. He now have urianry problems and aspca has been great with covering everything. They even called to see how he is going since his surgeries.

It’s very easy to get reimbursed and all my questions are always answered veto professionally and efficiently.
Monthly Cost
Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.
Coverage
The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%
Payout Limits
Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option.
No lifetime limits.
Deductible
$100, $250 or $500 annually.
Age Limits
No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.
Waiting Period
There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.
Exclusions
Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered.
ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment.
If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee.
Accident-Only coverage available.
