they came through

At the begining of June our cat Molly got very sick, to the point where my wife and I started to wonder it was time to put her to sleep. Fortunately, after extensive tests and a variety of procedures and medicines, she improved to the point where she is back to old self. Of course, all this medical care carried a hefty price tag. Within a week, ASPCA processed our claim and paid back the bulk of the cost of Molly's care.

This was the easiest Insurance claim and the Friendliest people I have worked with

When I called concerning my Pet Buddy, the people at ASPCA were so friendly and concerned and made every so easy to file my claim. I was devastated when I had to pay out over $1100 for his Vet bill but they were there to reimburse me almost $800 of that, after my deductible. No problem, in a very short time the money was back in my checking account. I am so glad I have this insurance. I checked a lot of Pet Insurances before I chose this one and now I am very Happy with my choice. I got a call shortly afterwards checking on how Buddy was doing and to make sure everything was fine and to see if there was anything else they could do for me. Absolutely wonderful.

Pet Insurance Review

We made the decision more than a year ago to buy insurance for our aging Doberman. Given that he is a pure-bred we were concerned about breeding issues and hereditary conditions. We decided to go with ASPCA, not only because we have donated money and supplies to ASPCA over the years, but also because they covered hereditary conditions. Now that our baby is starting to show signs of aging, we are taking him to his veterinarian more often. Without this insurance plan, we would not have been able to cover some of the cost, especially with diagnostic testing and medications, which can be quite expensive. I am grateful to the insurance plan for covering 90% of the cost of our baby's care.

Monthly Cost

Rates start at: $10 (for accident only), $16 (Complete Coverage). Rates vary based on species, age, breed, and location.

Coverage

The pay-out amount is based on the actual vet bill, at a rate pre-selected by the customer: 90%, 80% or 70%

Payout Limits

Annual limits can be set by the customer, ranging from $2,500 to $20,000, including an unlimited option. No lifetime limits.

Deductible

$100, $250 or $500 annually.

Age Limits

No upper age limits. Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll.

Waiting Period

There are no waiting periods for preventive care. Coverage begins 14 days after date listed on policy for accidents, illnesses, and knee/ligament conditions.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions, cosmetic procedures and breeding costs are not covered. ASPCA Pet Health Insurance has two Preventive Care plans that can be added to help cover a pet’s wellness care, including annual exams, vaccinations, tests, dental cleanings and flea/heartworm preventive. Preventive Care plans reimburse up to a set amount for each listed treatment. If your pet exhibited symptoms of a knee and ligament condition at any time, prior to enrollment or during a waiting period, all ligament and knee conditions will be excluded. Ligament and Knee are conditions involving a ligament, patella, meniscus or soft tissue disorder of the knee. Accident-Only coverage available.
