Activating my pet insurance.

Wow! I spoke to Michaela a AKC pet insurance representative. Her people skills where extraordinary. She was very pleasant and you could feel the love. I felt very comfortable with her on the phone. She was so friendly oh my goodness. She’s a keeper! Her essence can’t be measured nor calculated. Thanks for helping me Michaela activate my dogs.

I've been a member with AKC Pet Insurance for over 12+ years and have been completely satisfied. The Customer Service Rep. was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She answered my questions and helped me review my Beagle's insurance policy.

Disapointed on Bridgets last claim

Bridgets surgery to surgically remove a baby tooths claim was denied. The surgery was needed and in tailed alot. She had her gum cut and had to go up into the gum to remove it and had stitches. Some or all should have been covered. Im very disappointed that you didnt cover it. I thought I had her covered well.

Not a good insurance for dogs

I honestly should of called other insurances before I even got this one but because the breeder where I got my german shepherd had a brochure and I automatically thought it was a good insurance but it's not! So I will tell people my struggles with this insurance

Monthly Cost

$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.

Waiting Period

Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims. AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care. Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
