I had no problem with the...

I had no problem with the person I spoke to, they were very helpful. My concern is the insurance itself. If the pet is diagnosed with a congenital issue, it needs to be addressed right away, having to wait 180 days is not in line with treatment

Great product to have!!

a Spanish version of the explanation of benefits would be nice to have since I understand it much better. Other than that it's a great product to have!! Just would've have liked for the insurance company to advertise the insurance coverages as a bundle.

Caring Insurance

ASPCA Pet Insurance staff is very friendly and caring. They always makes it a point to inquire about how my puppy is doing before we even start discussing the reason why I called. They answer my questions quickly, review my claims and sent out reimbursements checks promptly. They also have a direct deposit option.

Fast friendly service

The representative was very courteous and helpful in resolving my issue. I was not put on hold for any amount of time and only took a few seconds to resolve the issue.

Taking Care of your Pets

If it wasn't for having this type of insurance for our Joe it would be hard to buy some of the preventatives to keep her healthy. We love our dogs and we do take excellent care of them.

Monthly Cost

$5 – $90 depending on coverage options chosen.

Coverage

You have a co-pay of 20% after your annual deductible. The pay-out amount is based on your actual vet bill.

Payout Limits

Per incident limit of $1,500 – $8,000 and annual limits of $3,000 – $16,000 depending on your chosen plan.

Deductible

Choose from $100 – $1,000 annual deductible.

Age Limits

Pets must be at least 8 weeks old to enroll with no upper age limit. Coverage options available for senior pets.

Waiting Period

Coverage goes into effect one day after enrollment. There is a 5-day wait period for accident claims and 14-day wait period for illness claims. AKC Pet Insurance provides 30 days of accident and illness insurance coverage included with AKC registration for newly registered puppies.

Exclusions

Pre-existing conditions are not covered. Customizable plans allow you to add-on coverage for inherited and congenital conditions, exam fees and wellness care. Cancer coverage included in base accident and illness plan.
