How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Country View Veterinary Service
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Experience
Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.
Emergency Care Procedures
It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.
Communication Preferences
Ask how the clinic communicates with pet parents, including updates, test results, and follow up questions.
Breed Specific Health Considerations
Some breeds may be more prone to certain health conditions. Early awareness can help with prevention and early treatment.
Facility Tour

Our dogs are both 8 years old, and we’ve taken them to countryview since they were puppies. We have always been pretty familiar with the staff, and the doctors have saved our dogs multiple times (rat poison, huge lacerations, broken bones, etc). Recently, we’ve noticed they have likely changed hands because every staff member is new and unfamiliar. That being said, we were VERY skeptical. We really valued the skill and experience of the doctors we knew and loved. A couple weeks ago, my dog’s cyst on his back directly over his spine burst and I became very nervous it had transitioned to something other than a cyst. We went to countryview and I absolutely peppered Dr. Wilson with questions. She was kind, calm, and confident in her answers. I expressed my concerns about the new staff and doctors, and she did not miss a beat. Dr. Bastian is the one that did the surgery (about a 5 inch incision with 8 sutures), and her communication was phenomenal through the whole process. My boy is 100% back to himself, the pathology report had great results, and our whole experience restored our confidence in countryview. We will continue to trust countryview with the care of our boys. Our dogs are the best things in our world, so that is really saying something. Absolutely recommend!

We took our new puppy to see Dr. Bastian and we had a wonderful experience. She answered all of our questions and gave us good recommendations for products to get for her. The office itself is organized and has great communication with their clients. I received a full report of the visit minutes after the appointment

These people are monsters. Country View pushes their Pet Care Wellness Plan as a "great savings" and as something to spread out the costs of veterinary care over the year for your pet. What they don't tell you is that they will refuse to cancel the plan if your pet dies. They called the day after our kitty passed. The very next day, they didn't even have the empathy to wait for us to process her death. And even though they knew we were still grieving the loss of our fuzzy family member, they still called to tell that while they were "sorry for our loss", we still had to pay for a service our cherished kitty would never again be able to use. And worse, if we didn't cancel within the "approved cancellation window," we'd continue to be billed for our dead kitty for another year. They showed no heart, no compassion, no understanding for our very recent loss. And now we get the agony of Country View reminding us each month that our beloved kitty is still gone. If you don't want Country View to try to heartlessly make money off pets that have passed on, you'll look elsewhere. There are vets out there that treat pets and their families with dignity and grace. Country View isn't that kind of place.

Everyone there was so patient with Bella. Where other placed turned us down, Country View Vet took us in and took the time to understand Bella, her breed, what was normal for her and they found a solution to help get her groomed while keeping her and the groomer safe. They were truly a God send.

We have been looking for a groomer closer in proximity to our home, and took our Great Pyrenees to Shawna for the first time today. Couldn’t be more pleased with the price and quality of her work. Our boy looks positively dashing!
