How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Country View Equine Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I absolutely love this clinic. All of the veterinarians are highly knowledgeable and friendly. I am a new-ish horse owner, and while I grew up around horses all the time, and have taken many lessons as an adult, ownership is obviously a steep learning curve. They have been so patient with me and answer any and all questions I have. Dr Judy assisted me when my first foal was born on the farm 🥰 which was amazing! Dr Stephanie came recently on an emergency call, and stitched my poor boy’s face up after an accident. I am so grateful for their support! I highly recommend Countryview! I also use the other “branch” for my dogs and cats!

Country View is the best! We have both horses and goats and they are always able to help with both. The staff are always friendly and helpful. With growing up showing horses but not having any at home and now transitioning to having horses at home, there were many things we needed a little extra assistance on or had questions, and Dr Carli + team have always been super helpful, patient, and kind. They have handled everything from eye surgery, castrations, birthing emergencies to routine care and vaccinations. Highly recommend!

The best veterinary equine service I’ve ever used. Every single experience I’ve had was respectful, gentle and kind toward my horses. Nobody ever loves taking their animals to the vet but I always know it will be a good experience and my animals will be even better the next time, knowing they’ll be well handled and treated back to health

Dr. Carli is the best - not just an outstanding vet, but an extraordinary human being. Our horses (and we) are so lucky to have her!

We had a retained placenta emergency on a Sat so I called Country View, knowing antibiotics to be the typical solution. Carli Denton was on call; she responded with arrogance, immaturity, lack of compassion and limited knowledge of what the costs would be (I was finally told at least $200 base to pull in the driveway). She said we do not have an active vet-client relationship because it had been two years since we had them on our farm. I was unaware of a time limit on our VCPR and I was asking questions to understand what options we had. (Because we are small farmers with robust animals we lost our VCPR?) She repeatedly interrupted. Her comments included saying with condescension that we had two days to notice the placenta issue, they provide a service to us and we don't have to use it, and she likened the policy of requiring an exam for our ewe to humans getting doctor's prescriptions. She never shared any advice for treatment or a solutions besides $200 + exam and med fees. Dr Denton did not reference specific policy so I am not sure what it is but I plan to never call Country View again. The next vet I contacted was 40% cheaper than CV base price and incredibly kind.
