How to Save Money at All Points Animal Care

Schedule Regular Vet Visits

One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.

Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions

Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.

Pet Insurance

Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Getting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask

Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:

Tell me about your experience with [pet type].

Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.

How do you handle emergencies?

You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.

How do you communicate with pet owners?

Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.

Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?

Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.

Do you have any questions for me about my pet?

This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.

Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?

Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

The vet Anna was great. She took really good care of our two furbabies. We just moved here and both of our dogs hurt their paws. The rest of the staff is also very friendly and caring. Definitely recommending this place.

I LOVE this office. I initially went here and saw them for a second opinion on a leg injury my dog had. They gave me options and were willing to support me with whatever we chose, versus our old vet who gave us one surgical option with no more information given. They also treated my dog who had a terminal cancer with the best and most supportive care possible. Every single member of the staff was incredible and treated my girl and I with so much love and respect during a tumultuous time. They have been just as amazing with my new dog who can present as very intimidating. They are able to read both mine and my dogs body language and have made all of our visits successful! Everyone knows dogs can get stressed seeing a vet, but they have made our visits so easy. The facility is impeccably clean and cozy, and my pup is thankful he is allowed to lick Dr Anna’s face during examinations. 😊

Horrible experience with Anna and Meg. I noticed over the past year my bills were doubling so I asked Meg ( secretary) if I could see my bill before paying. Meg handed me my bill and I circled several things I didn’t ask for and also didn’t receive. Right there that was fraud!!! Meg got angry with me for pointing it out and right away tried to take the bill from me and correct it. I wouldn’t hand the bill over. Instead I asked to speak with the vet about the fraudulent charges. Meg got all frazzled and started sputtering out rude comments and then yelled at me and told me to sit down as if I were a dog. I get that’s what your patients are but get a grip on reality - I am a customer not a dog. I pulled out my phone and started getting video because I couldn’t believe how I was being treated. I am the victim here and she was trying to make me feel like I did something wrong. I had enough of the abuse I was taking so I went outside to my car, at this point Roberta ( another vet ) came outside and told me she was very sorry for Megs behavior and told me I was wrongfully charged and she would fix my bill. She did correct my bill although it took 3 times. I have 3 separate copies of what they tried to do to me. I took those 3 bills and told her I would be reviewing all my bills for the past year and I would be back to pay what I owe. I did just that like the honest person I am. I called the office the next business day and asked to come in so I could speak with Anna ( the vet ) about the over charging and treatment I got from her staff. They told me to come in. I explained all of this to Anna and she refused to apologize and accept any responsibility for her rude staff. She refused to refund me money that they had been overcharging during the past 6 months. Watching Anna squirm when she realized she was caught stealing from me was priceless. They don’t tell you what they are charging you for and they take your money with a smile. All points animal care is a joke! They steal from you and betray your trust. Anna is a liar and a thief. She is rude and has no manners. BEWARE of these scammers and always check your bill before you just hand out thousands of dollars to there lying smiling faces!!!!

Since I adopted my dog from a shelter they have been my dog's veterinarians. They have taken care of my dog with kindness and have been very knowledgeable and have always explained what they would do so I could understand.
