How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Feline Veterinary Clinic

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Experience

Ask whether the clinic has experience treating your specific type of pet, since care can vary between dogs, cats, and pocket pets.

Emergency Care Procedures

It’s helpful to understand how the clinic handles after-hours emergencies, including whether they provide emergency services or refer to nearby emergency hospitals.

Communication Preferences

Dr. Rosen is super nice. Very considerate and understanding to my cats needs. He even tolerated my oldest cat, who is the fussiest cat alive. The staff keeps the place well stocked with prescription diets, and they are as cheap as online vendors.

Had our first visit with my 2 cats- and the service was wonderful. You can immediately tell the difference in the care provided; you can see right away how much they care for their patients. They were very knowledgeable and advised use on treatment options without being aggressive. Highly recommended for any cat owners.

We love the clinic, the doctor and the staff. They are very on top of things and know what is best for my kitty. We have left our cat boarding many times and you can tell they love and treat him nicely. One time a snowstorm hit the area when he was boarding, and the doctor took him home in case the power went out or the snow prevented any access to the clinic. We were notified on time about this and we were very thankful! When we had recently adopted our kitty, we tried another only cat clinic in the area and even boarded him there, but he came back so stressed out that we decided to not go back. This has never happened here and we will keep coming back for all treatment and boarding. Highly recommend!

The vet here is great. Very strict about dealing with cats (such as rules that owners can't take then out of carriers, gives staff must), but these make sense and better enable the office to do their job. My cat receives very thorough and solid care.

I have been taking my two cats to Feline Veterinary Clinic for the last three years, since moving to the community. I have always found the staff to be attentive and caring, and Dr. Rosen is very thorough and always follows up to see how the cats are doing. He has seen them through a variety of health problems, and is always willing to see us in a hurry if necessary.
