How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Redwood Veterinary Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

My BF and I got our first puppy and after researching different Vet offices, we landed here. This office has been nothing but nice each time we've gone in. We've had tons of questions about our puppy care and they were quick to answer each one confidently. Our pup was treated for Giardia and also got neutered. Everyone was helpful when it came to prescribing medication and addressing questions/concerns that have come up. Thank you all for treating us and our pup with love and care.

I've taken my dog to Dr. Gina for several years, and she is a good vet, all things considered, but their staff is often unprofessional, as if they were just teenagers pulled off the street. They aren't knowledgeable, serious, or professional, which should be a requirement when you are dealing with sick or injured animals. This isn't a burger stand--companion animals that people care about deeply will be scared, in pain, or sick at a veterinary clinic--this requires a different level of professionalism which would convey confidence and security that when you hand your pet to them, they will be provided great care. I would encourage Gina and the other vet to have stricter hiring standards and job requirements. I've had several interactions with her staff where they will forget things, barely be able to read/understand surgical discharge notes, and sometimes are just goofing off, which has led me to consider switching vets, despite liking Gina, because of my strong interest in my dog's wellbeing.

There are no frills here, but Dr. Greer is one of the most positive, caring, and helpful people I’ve ever encountered. She always shows the utmost respect to my dog, and happily answers questions while providing top-notch care. Also, Office visits are very reasonable here.

I took my doggie for an annual check up last June everything was ok but they recommended to clean her teeth cost over $ 900. A week after I found 2 bumps on her left side, so I called and said Mae needs to be check again. They found 3 lumps one in her mouth plus the other two I found. They charged me $ 73 for checking the bumps. I should not pay anything the Vet did not do his job at the first time in June. I called them asking why they charged me that the woman answered the phone was very RUDE. I lost $ 73 but they lost 2 clients Mae and Brooklyn. They are after money don’t care much about our pets.

Loved this establishment, Rocky also enjoyed this environment. He was not worried nor flinched when he received his shots. Staff are there to help & comfort your pet(family member). Definitely found our spot for sure. Prices are decent as well.
