How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have been coming to this Vetco location on Brodie Ln for almost 4 yrs now and have always had a good experience. This last time, my pup hurt her back and was in a lot of pain and they were able to get her in quite quickly and get her some pain relief along with a plan for us going forward. The nurses and doctors are very friendly, and knowledgeable.

The vet techs and assistants at this location are great. They are knowledgeable and kind, and excellent listeners. I haven’t felt like my pet was ever getting less than their full care and attention, or that my worries were downplayed or dismissed. *Edit - From the front desk to the techs and assistants to the vets, there is a level of care and kindness my pet and I have experienced every appointment. The Brodie crew feels like more of a neighborhood vet than a corporate vet hospital. The Brodie location is clean and organized. The crew is professional but not stuffy, and the techs and assistants and vets pet-bedside manner is excellent. The vibes are right! Thanks for being so consistent and so caring!

Awesome experience! Our puppy was scared and they were great with him! Roland, the mgr, was so nice and put us onto so many perks which helped us, as 1st time dog parents. We signed up for the monthly subscription to keep Cheech his freshest! We even got some new gear for him to wear.

We had to euthanize our 13 year old dog, which was so hard on my family. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic Dr. Hayes and the entire staff at the Sunset Valley location went above and beyond to help us through this transition. They have strict protocols in place, but allowed my family to sit with her a while before the procedure and then let me stay with her during. They showed her as much love as I did so that she knew she was crossing the rainbow bridge surrounded by people who loved and cared for her. During her last couple of weeks, Dr. Hayes returned my calls, answered my questions honestly and compassionately and helped me make the best decision for my sweet girl. The whole process was peaceful and dignified. They also care for our wild 11 month old pug with so much patience and love! If you're looking for a vet who truly cares and treats your pet with kindness and love, then Dr. Hayes and his staff will be a perfect fit. He truly was an angel during a very difficult time.

I arrived 9 minutes late, and even though they have a policy allowing for a 10-minute grace period, they still didn't let us in. North is way better!
