How to Save Money at CityVet | Spring
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.

This was by far the best vet clinic I've ever been to! I have a 115 pound German Shepard who is not friendly and I was so nervous about our appointment but it wasn't stressful at all! We had our own room the entire time so my dog didn't come across any other dogs (thank goodness!) They even gave my daughter a juice box and stuff to color with. She was so excited when they said they would hang up her artwork 😊 I wish I remembered the vet tech's name because he was so nice! Dr Summers and the tech were so great with my Pup pup. My dog is feeling so much better. They did not pressure us to add on a bunch of stuff like every other vet clinic I've been to and the bill was very reasonable. This is the only vet we will be going to from now on!

Dr. Summers has been my dogs Vet for about three years. She really cares and really helps us with both pets. I am truly grateful that we found her because one pet was very sick until she diagnosed her with thyroid problems , and our dog got better has thrived ever since then. She is kind and really loving to our pets the way we love them . The staff is amazing very kind and friendly. You can truly see that they care. She has just started her own practice with City Vet and my husband and I highly recommend her as she and her entire new staff are good at taking care of your pets but even more they care about your pet and they care about you!

We had an excellent experience at CityVet. Buddy received his updated vaccines and was also microchipped. Dr. Tiffany Summers was knowledgeable, compassionate, and took the time to explain everything clearly. The entire staff was professional, welcoming, and showed so much kindness toward both Buddy and me. It’s clear they love what they do. I would confidently recommend this CityVet location to anyone looking for quality pet care!

LOVE this vet! I've only been once, and it was a week ago to bring my cat in for a bladder blockage scare. The only reason I even considered City Vet, was because my vet turned me down and told me to go to the hospital. I don't have hospital money, so I found City Vet and saw all of their amazing reviews, and figured I'd give them a shot. Well, I'm so glad I did. I made an appointment for 10:30, and they closed at 2 (this was Saturday). I was in and out, by 11:30 or so. They welcomed us in, their staff was wonderful at helping us get my cat inside (I misplaced my cat carrier and they make shifted one for us), they were quick/efficient/informative about everything. The doctor was AMAZING. Super sweet and caring. All of the staff is super sweet, caring and AMAZING. You really feel the love they bring to you and your fur babies. They even texted me a few days after the appointment and checked up on my baby. They also went above and beyond to send me a sweet card as a thank you, as well as a Christmas card. I am 10 toes down for this place, and I HIGHLY recommend it to anyone who is even considering a place for their pets. ❤️😸

This location is absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk in, every staff member was extremely kind. Its been years since a clinic allowed me to go back to a room and wait for the Dr. I got to meet them personally and hear the process. It gave me such comfort just being there in the beginning process. Dr. Summers was truly the best person. She was so kind and thourogh. I never had a Dr personally call, and so many times, to give updates on my baby. She gave details on my cats progression and even told me how he was doing personally. I can't tell you how grateful I am for that. I felt like my baby was cared for by all staff members. Thank you so much to all members of CityVet on behalf of Jevees, my husband, and myself. ❤️
