Lock in because it's a doozy, to start I put the blame on myself for believing Vetco would be sufficient enough care for my fur baby. On September 25 I took my baby in to get looked at because he was struggling to pee the day prior and the morning of (25th) he also had blood in his urine, being relatively new to the area and living so closely to Vetco I assumed they could help. That day he was seen by the doctor(1) in rotation I was told pretty much everything was fine and it looked like a really bad bladder infection and we were sent home with Carprofen. He took that for 2 weeks as prescribed and did not know show any signs of getting better. We went again and were prescribed the same medicine but now with an additional pain medication to take home because he showing signs of discomfort. During this appointment the vet(2) in rotation, talked A LOT about things I didn't care but all in all told me my dog was just really swollen because of the infection and that was it, no other suggestions no other thoughts on the matter. We took the Carprofen again for 2 weeks were he got better for a day or two but by the end of the 2 weeks he was showing the same signs of discomfort and was constantly dribbling pee on himself. Sadly for the 3rd time, I decided to go back to Vetco for more assistance, of course, I get a different vet(3) from the first 2 encounters, I give her the run down of what our previous appointments have looked like and how my dog was doing at the time. Telling her what I've been told it was an infection, she was kind enough to let me know that the Carprofen we had been taking was an anti inflammatory and she would not have even prescribed it for our situation (Mind you we've prescribed it twice now) Upon hearing that statement I was utterly disgusted and extremely disappointed To wrap and already extremely long story, After the a trip to our new vet and a trip to the ER my dog was suffering from a bladder stone, that was trying to make its way towards the exit. We had to have an emergency surgery which also involved him having to be neutered because his condition was so bad. If you believe your pet(s) might be in any sort of discomfort I would not bring them for any real help. They might be able to handle the small things but they definitely weren't equipped for anything of this caliber.

Originally came in wondering how much it would be to get my dog fixed instead they sit me in a room for about an hour wasting my time not knowing what they're doing obviously just to tell me the ridiculous price of 700$ Then come time to leave and they have the audacity to charge me 85$ to come in and they didn't do anything the vet tech didn't know what they were doing either very unprofessional. If you wonder why animals die and get hurt its because people like this hire people who don't care and don't know what they're doing. I have no idea how these guys have a 4.6 rating all lies.

Walked in with my dog, hoping to make an appointment and no one was at the front desk. I had been here on previous occasions, so I recognized the voice of Mike the manager through the employee door. He was cursing about a customer and when I rang the door bell for assistance, you could hear him sigh as if he were annoyed. He popped out a moment later and went directly into a room, but didn’t address me. As he passed the desk, I received a strong smell of marijuana and his underpants (with a marijuana pattern) were visible from his backside. I will not be back.

The service provided during my fur baby boy's exam and vaccinations was exceptional; he was understandably scared, but the staff took great care to ensure he felt safe and comfortable throughout the entire process. Their gentle approach and reassuring demeanor helped alleviate his fears, making the experience much more manageable for both him and me.

I’ll start with the good. It seems like the neuter for my cat went well. They were quick to set up an appointment and quick to see me. I had him checked out on Saturday and his surgery was done by Monday at noon. The part that did not sit well with me was the pricing. I called a month and a half ago and was quoted $100ish plus some other fees which came out to no more than $150. Which seemed fair because my normal vet was right around $200 for the total. I chose Petco to save some money. When I dropped him off the morning of surgery I was told it was going to be $350ish. I was kind of at the point where I was already there and took the day to monitor little man so I was stuck paying that price. Due to this I’ll never bring my cat here for Vet needs again. I can go to my actual vet who is cheaper and they are honest about pricing. Do better.
