Another great visit to Banfield, Missouri City. Vet Tech Vivian and Dr. Gonzalez are amazing. They are professional, kind and very caring. They took the time to answer all of my questions both at the time of service, and Dr. Gonzales quickly returned my phone call when I had questions about lab results. I know that location is not new and modern, but the care my pet receives has always been excellent. It’s reassuring to know that Vivian and Dr. Gonzalez are there to take care of my pet. Thank you

Moved from Kirby (Houston) location to here. Hate to even waste my time but let's start off a year prior when my pet had a dental surgery. Was told to arrive at 0700. At 0700 there's a line at the door because apparently no one informed us that "0700 means whenever PetSmart employees arrive." No apology just an oh well, you're late for work, pick him up before 1700. Today is Halloween, "YESEE" is at the front. No greeting no hello, just "what's your pets name." Very meh. Very disengaged. Very "I'm here for a check." The nurse in the back was the same. It almost seemed like they were upset that they were working Halloween. The doctor seemed OK. Overall, my service was subpar today. I'm considering leaving Banfield altogether and look at other options. Upon checkout, I inquired about the price of monthly Trifexis since I did notice an increase in price. I was told well you paid the same amount in June. She didn't care to inquire about my question; she missed that I didn't matter what I paid I'm asking about what the monthly price is. I'm just underwhelmed altogether with this place. Seems like a Banfield customer service issue across all locations. Asked for manager. GINA comes to the front. Doesn’t introduce herself either. Immediately says, WE HAVE A NEW COMPUTER SYSTEM AND THE STAFF IS OVERWHELMED. I’m like wow. Hello. Mam. You’ve missed the point. I’m letting you know your staff has been very dry and disengaged today. They don’t care. I’m over it.

I absolutely hate Banfield and always have. I only take my dog there since the payment fee for being seen is included in the yearly fee. They wanted to charge $600 to remove a tiny wart because they don’t do cryosurgery there but wanted to charge me just $250 alone to poke the wart and tell me if it needs to be removed or not. Makes no sense.then I decided to do a DNA test and the vet did not inform me that I needed to pay today versus when the results come in and when I left, no one was at the front desk. I asked her if there was a fee for being seen and she said no, so I didn’t think I owed anything today cause she just walked out of the room and did not tell me to go to the checkout or hand me a paper or anything. then my dad told me they called him and said I owed money which is weird because my number is the one on file. and told him I wanted to know what my dog was instead of explaining that the test also shows medical history. It’s not just to find out what he is, which sounds like a total waste of money. I called back and explained that I was not told I owed money. They did not seem to care either way and I asked if I could just pay when they get results but they said no since it’s gonna be a few weeks so I asked if I could give a card over the phone, which I swear I have done before, but they said they don’t take cards over the phone so now I am going back for the third time today.

If I could give zero I would. They don't even deserve 1 star. DO NOT sign up for the Banfield wellness plan. DO NOT bring your pet here. In hindsight, I wish I had just brought my cat to another vet. My cat gets a bit stressed when I travel and after I returned home from a trip, he was peeing in strange places, outside of the litter box, etc. but otherwise fine. I brought him to Banfield in Missouri City to see if anything could be done and to see if this was a possible UTI. They gave him an antibiotic shot, a steroid shot and another painkiller shot. When I picked him up, he was in bad shape but I assumed it was due to all the medication. The vet called and said that he should be fine but to watch him and make sure he was drinking water, which he was. He rapidly declined and died before we could take him to the emergency vet the next morning. He basically died the night after seeing the vet. When I brought Cheeto in, the Banfield rep encouraged me to sign on for the wellness plan and said there would be a cost savings so I did. After I reached back out to Banfield, explaining that I believe Cheeto's death was caused in part by action of the vet and all I wanted was to have them cancel the plan - I kept getting emails from Banfield ironically asking to rate the services just received and the auto emails kept coming which was just a constant reminder of Cheeto. I had already paid a few hundred dollars for services. They had their "PR Doc" call me to offer her condolences and I asked her to simply cancel my plan. I wasn't asking for any money back on what I had already paid. She called me back and said that they could cancel the plan but I would need to pay another $477 for services rendered but as a courtesy, they would cover half of that amount and then cancel my plan. What?!?!? The condolences are just empty words and this is how they treat the animals and the owners they claim to care about. I am going back to corporate to complain again. This is NOT acceptable!

If we could leave 0 star that would be our rating. Our dog has been a patient here for a very long time and he has been obese and have been having ear and skin infections from “allergies”. They recommended us food that would help him (purina pro plan) and we got that food for our dog. It took them 6.5 years to even recommend us food that was better for our dog. They just kept seeing our dog without telling us what we can do at home with his diet and they would keep seeing him charging us money because he would always be sick. So our mom decided to start making home cooked meals for our dog to help him lose weight and he has been happier, more energetic, no more skin infections, shinier fur, and most importantly lost 15 lbs and is almost at a good healthy weight for a boxer. As for his ear infection, we’ve been doing everything they instructed to treat it, doing the treatments they recommended because we don’t mind paying for his treatments AS LONG AS THEY ACTUALLY WORK. They never told us if there was anything in specific that has been causing these infections so we can change it or prevent it and provide a healthy environment for our dog to keep him from suffering. But they don’t tell us anything and just keep charging us for these treatments that never worked. They never cared about our dog and just want our money. They even had the audacity to tell my mom that we haven’t been paying attention to our dog even though my mom spend a lot of her time cooking for our dog to make him healthier. Please avoid this place if you love your pet. They just want your money.
