I had a very frustrating experience at this business. While the doctors are fine and the prices are reasonable, the communication and customer service leave a lot to be desired. They have a specific protocol for how things are done, but none of it is posted online or clearly explained when you call. For example, when you ask for an estimated arrival time, they simply tell you to call when you get there. However, when I arrived and tried calling multiple times, the line was consistently busy, and no one answered. After three attempts, I was told I should have called—but I did call, and there was no way to get through. A simple messaging service or better phone system could easily resolve this issue, but instead, I was met with dismissive and unhelpful responses. One of their veteran technicians, in particular, was extremely rude and condescending when I pointed out this problem. Rather than offering any solutions, he seemed more interested in being difficult than actually helping customers. If they improved their communication system and customer service, this place could be much better. Until then, be prepared for frustration if you visit.

We've been bringing our cats and dogs to Weslaco Animal Clinic for years and have always had good experiences. Our pets are happy, the staff is always professional and helpful, and Dr. Ruiz is great with the animals and with us. She is thorough with her examinations and tells us what all of our options are -- and she explains what the pros and cons are in ways that I can understand.

Extremely satisfied with Weslaco Animal Clinic! Initially brought one of our family cats here to get neutered and after the first visit, we didn’t hesitate to bring our second cat for the same service. The procedure went very well, great communication. I appreciate the service being provided! 🙏🏽

I take my dogs here and they never seem scared or anything once the vet takes them to get their shots, i feel like the prices for shots are reasonable and the staff is friendly. I don't really like the way they are doing things now with covid just because you have to keep calling the number and it's usually busy, they do take a while to get to you and they don't do appointments so that's annoying, everytime I go I'm lucky if it takes an hour but my dogs need the shots so it needs to be done. Other than that's it's an ok place.
