How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Killeen Veterinary Clinic
Preventive care
Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.
Compare prescription pricing
Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.
Consider pet insurance
Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I’ve been coming here for years. I’m kindve young, and it’s a little expensive (of course), but the prices aren’t insane and they are transparent. They’ve taken care of me and my 3 dogs, which two of them are a handful, every time. The techs are absolutely amazing. The receptionists are fantastic. I’m horrible at names, but I think the techs name is Ashley? She’s got long black hair, and she’s absolutely amazing. Every time (even knew me when I took my shepherd to the ER). A receptionist with dirty blonde, short hair usually recognizes me and is always very nice. The rest of the staff are also great, just these two specifically have always helped me. I appreciate all of them!

Just adopted Mr kitty a few days ago and they made everything super easy to get him seen and taken care of. Will love and care for your animals as if they are their own.

They are awesome. My dog had a huge mass that would bleed when he walked. They got him into surgery really quickly, they remembered his name, call just to check on him and provide updates. Won’t take him anywhere else. I’m a tough person to please and they did it

Took my dog for his check up, recommended a cleaning and few extractions, Very unhappy, my dog had his teeth cleaned and teeth extracted. after a week my dog had a huge abscess on his left leg, life started going down hill, within 7 weeks, 8 visits, few thousand of dollars spent, all we kept getting was more antibiotics and more pain medication, to the point my dog wasn’t eating good, no answers why my dog was deteriorating, after 7 weeks and trying to get answers they finally decided to refer us to a specialist. We took or dog to see another doctor because my dog was so weak he could barley walk without pain and not eating. Per that doctor said his quality of life is not good, we had no choice but to put him down. It was so heart breaking! How could this happen? Get a 2nd opinion if you’re not getting any results and paying a lot of money. right away. Don’t be too late like us. The worst part! Knowing my dog was in pain and life struggling. They never called to follow up or seem to be concerned after they referred me to a specialist.

5 STAR SERVICE!!!!!! My Chihuahua had been eating and licking his paws for a couple years new to TX. Then he lost hair and had cuts from scratching. We tried everything at home. Yesterday we saw Dr. Buckley. We had previously gone to a diff clinic who couldn't help. Dr. Came in, took one look at our dog and immediately said what it was and what was causing it. He put together a plan. His assistant was amazing also. They were helpful, knowledgeable, kind, cost effective, and answered all our questions!! Last night our dog slept peacefully for the first time in a long while. Thanks Dr. Buckley and Killeen Veterinary
