How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetco Total Care Animal Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

I have been coming to this Vetco location for several years. My dog was also spayed here. We’ve always received great treatment! The exams and treatments are mostly done in the back, but I can tell by my dog’s reaction that they are patient and loving towards her. I appreciate that Dr. King (vet) and the techs (especially Megan) take their time to explain things in detail.

The entire Vetco Total Care team in Highland Village is amazing! They are always timely and care so much for our dog that we never have to worry if she will get good care. Dr. King and our vet tech Brittany took great care of our dog at our appointment today as well. Highly recommend to all pet owners in the Highland Village/Denton area!

Dr. King thanks for the summary and your expertise with help for Mufasa. The antibiotics are helping immensely, he is rarely scratching. We used the moose and started him with the steroid tabs. I ordered the Atop7 that will arrive Saturday. We will make an appointment for the two week visit today. He just finished a large portion of his chicken breast and is resting peacefully behind me. I cannot thank you enough. I tried to leave a review but couldn’t get through to the site. Thanks again have a great day..

Overall the staff was very nice and the veterinarian listened to us and our concerns for our pet. However we asked for a dewormer and got one tablet to give our pet. We wished they would had the liquid form.

They have my dog vaccinations and he got very sick after. Then they tried to charge me $200 for blood work and an another $200 for X-rays. Do not take your pet here. They are not trustworthy.
