How to Save Money at Mid-Cities Animal Urgent Care
Schedule Regular Vet Visits
One of the best ways to save on vet bills is to prevent expensive health issues before they develop. By scheduling regular wellness checkups, your vet can detect health issues early, helping you to avoid costly treatments and surgeries down the road.
Price Shop for Pet Prescriptions
Oftentimes our fur babies are prescribed human drugs off-label. Your vet is apt to charge more for these medications than you would pay at your local pharmacy. In fact, big-box or chain pharmacies can offer steep discounts. So it’s best to price shop.
Pet Insurance
Most pet insurance providers will pay between 80% and 90% of the vet bill. You can even get coverage for routine care and things like vaccinations and dental cleanings. If you do the math, you’ll most likely find that pet insurance makes financial sense in the long run as well as gives you peace of mind.

Get Quotes & CompareGetting to Know Your New Vet: Essential Questions to Ask
Choosing a new veterinarian is an important decision for any pet owner. You want to find someone who is competent, compassionate, and a good fit for you and your fur baby. To help you get the most out of your first appointment, here's a list of essential questions to ask your new vet:
Tell me about your experience with [pet type].
Different vets have different areas of specialization. Some are experts with cats, some dogs, some pocket pets, and some horses. Knowing that your vet has vast experience treating your specific type of pet can bring you peace of mind.
How do you handle emergencies?
You must know what to do in case of a pet medical emergency. Inquire what after-hours policy the clinic has, whether they have on-site emergency care available, and if they have a relationship with any nearby emergency animal hospitals.
How do you communicate with pet owners?
Good communication is key to building a trusting relationship with your vet. Ask how they prefer to communicate (phone calls, emails, online portal) and how often you can expect to hear from them.
Are there any breed-specific health concerns I should be aware of?
Some breeds are predisposed to certain health conditions. Knowing what to watch out for can help you catch problems early and get your pet the treatment they need.
Do you have any questions for me about my pet?
This is a great question to ask because the answer will show that the vet is interested in getting to know your pet as an individual and is willing to listen to your concerns.
Bonus question: Can I take a tour of your facility?
Getting a feel for the clinic's environment can help you and your pet feel more comfortable during your visits. Remember, you’re not just looking for a veterinarian, you’re looking for a partnership. Do not be afraid to ask these questions and any others you can think of. Any vet worth their salt will be happy to answer them. Because the more informed you are, the better equipped you'll be to make decisions about your pet's care! And that should be every vet’s top priority.
Reviews from Google
The QR code didn't pick up a web page. But. I'll leave a review anyway in hopes for a 10 dollar credit. The wait was not long. Beverages offered but not needed. That is a nice gesture. You can watch TV if you wish as well but this is a pet clinic. The young Dr. Came in and gave her opinion by looking at my pets sore. Surgery should never be the first words out of a vets mouth. Especially not knowing what it is. So I opted for a lab test and meds to treat for now. Once we find out what it is we can discuss treatment from there. The assistant was nice. Explained the estimate. The front counter as I checked out did not get the invoice with the no cone option as well as saying 100 more than what was on my invoice. Perhaps an honest misread but when your bill is already 450 you don't say 550. We were able to come to the correct amount and I was on my way. They sent a follow up text to see how my pet was doing which was nice. The hours they are open is convenient for those who can't make it by 5. And walking ins welcome. I would take my pets here again , but I won't let them dictate surgery on my pet without a proper diagnosis. If the lump is not cancerous and does not get larger I won't be putting him through surgery. Prices are more than fair.

I wish I would’ve found this vet clinic earlier. They are not only very reasonably priced compared to other vets, they also really show empathy and care to me and my pup. The doctors have an excellent bedside manner. They do a great job with communicating and following up.

Honestly the best urgent care I’ve been to. The ones in Fort Worth have outrageous pricing and couldn’t help my cat because they didn’t do the specific surgery my cat needed at the time. The whole staff was very friendly and took very good care of my cat, even sent pictures of her since we kept her there overnight . They were also very patient with us and explained everything throughly about the pricing and surgery. They have the best prices compared to other vets/urgent cares in Fort Worth i 100% recommend them.

Was recommended to come here by our vet after a scare and they couldn’t get us in soon enough. The doctor was so sweet and kind. She really listened and made sure we had a good experience. Everyone helped make my pup comfortable when she was feeling uncomfortable. The ladies in the front were nice as well. They reached out after we were home to check in and see how my pup was doing and that meant a lot. The affordability also made this an overall positive experience. Thank you for your attention and care for my sweet girl in a stressful situation!

I love this clinic! Their prices are very reasonable their hours are great and their vets are kind and compassionate. They also offer complimentary beverages (water, coffee, tea, hit cocoa, beer and wine) and well as a TV in every exam room so you can have a little entertainment while you wait. If you have to bring your kiddos, there is a little play/TV area for them as well. Every time I've brought my pyrenees, Rainbow in, I've had a wonderful experience. I recommend this clinic to everyone in the area.
