How to Save on Veterinary Costs at Vetsavers Pet Hospital

Preventive care

Routine wellness exams can help identify health issues early, often before they become more serious or expensive to treat. Regular checkups are one of the most effective ways to manage long term veterinary costs.

Compare prescription pricing

Some pet medications prescribed at veterinary clinics may also be available through local or online pharmacies. It can be helpful to compare pricing when appropriate to reduce ongoing medication costs.

Consider pet insurance

Pet insurance may help cover a portion of eligible veterinary expenses depending on the plan, including accidents, illnesses, and in some cases preventive care. Coverage details, reimbursement levels, and deductibles vary by provider.

Dr. Yoon may not wear a cape, but she definitely saved the day! After trying four vets at twice the price, I’m so glad we found VetSavers. Compassionate, skilled, and affordable—what a find!

The service at this place is not only quick but also incredibly compassionate! I heard great things about it and decided to check it out for myself. I was looking for a local veterinarian to be my cat's permanent vet, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. The staff is wonderful, and they are really transparent about pricing. I'm so glad I found this fantastic spot for my cat, Georgie!

Great place to take your fur babies! Very clean facility, stress free and the reception and technician staff are amazing. Everyone is very knowledgeable as well. Jennifer is very kind on the phone while booking appointments and Mari and Kaylee were patient with my dog during the appointment. Would highly recommend coming here!

I'm VERY disappointed in Vetsavers. They are no longer signing off prescriptions at external pharmacies like Chewy and Pet Meds. They sent out an email recently saying they were making pet medication "easier and safer" by this change in policy. This is very upsetting as medications are often more expensive through the vet than what I pay for elsewhere. They will give you paper prescriptions if requested but that extra time to mail into the pharmacy and reviewed to get approved. It's also extra time out of my busy schedule to send in. My dog is elderly and has more problems popping up as he ages. Making sure I can afford his medications and prescription food is important to ensure he has the best care to live his life to the fullest. I really like Dr. Morchower, the new vet. She's kind and informative and shows that she really cares about my dog, Toby. However this policy change makes me second guess continuing Toby's care at vetsavers

GREEDY! Vetsavers will not approve Chewy and other online pharmacies anymore. Instead they will force you to get a paper prescription. They won't even give you a PDF. They want you to instead spend $$$$ (more than double to triple) at their pharmacy and make it difficult to save. I have been ordering Bop's prescriptions from Chewys for years. Bop has been coming to vetsavers for years. I've literally spent many thousands at Vetsavers. I will not be coming back. Vet"savers". Nice name.
