I adopted a Pomeranian mix from Dallas Animal Services in March. Included in the adoption packet was voucher for a year membership with Modern Animal, and I am LOVING it so far! It has a simplistic vibe to it through their use of what I would consider mellow colors. The staffs wear customized scrubs that is a beautiful shade of blue. Everything they wear is Modern Animal. Blue(my kiddo) and I have received top tier service on EVERY SINGLE VISIT. My doctor's office is about 2 minutes away from there, and the service I receive there compared to the service Blue receives is night and day. I'm seriously jealous😂. I jokingly wish Blue would get sick more often so we can get an excuse to visit the clinic. We live an hour to and from the clinic, and I still choose to stick with MODERN ANIMAL for EVER. Words fail me in describing how much I love this place. There's almost zero wait time, the clinic smells amazing, the rooms are well organized. The only thing on the counter is a jar of cotton balls and qtips. Everything else is nicely tucked away. They have an so where I can chat or speak to a staff wherever I have any questions or concerns. Try Modern Animal at your risk, because you're bound to get hooked on their wonderfulness. I took my cat, Oreo, in to get a check up a few months ago and the vet techs were amazing. These people truly love animals and are the sweetest. They are extremely transparent with their pricing, and I am saying that admittedly as a broke college student. I got blood work done to make sure that he was healthy and they did it so quick and kindly. I then went in on 1/14 to get a dental procedure done that they had talked to me about when I got his checkup, and they gave me an estimate and it was very helpful. I had plenty of time to save up for the procedure which was I cannot say enough VERY affordable especially since he had to get a total of 4 teeth taken out and some sealed as well so that they don’t have to be pulled later. They also informed us exactly how we need to continue to take care of his teeth so that he doesn’t have any other problems. He was extremely well taken care of during his procedure and Dr. Shana Robson was amazing and super communicative, along with all of the vet techs. I absolutely will be back for all of his checkups and any procedures needed in the future. Thank you so much staff of Modern Animal!! You guys are the best!☺️❤️

Can’t say enough great things about Modern Animal, especially if you have an aging pet or chronic health issues. Great appointment availability and competitively priced. So grateful to have found this vet group! I’ve been to 2 of their Dallas locations & 1 San Francisco location. No complaints. Every Dr & vet tech have been knowledgeable, communicative, and empathetic (seem to be great listeners). The front desk staff are also well-informed about my dog’s special needs, before we walk through the door. Everyone seems genuinely invested in my dog’s health and happiness. I think modern animal hires people who join this profession to heal and make the world a better place.

From the moment I walked into Modern Animal, I felt like my fur babies and I were in good hands. The office has a lovely, welcoming atmosphere and the staff was incredible - knowledgeable, helpful, and truly affectionate with my pets. I'm so relieved to have found a vet clinic that feels like such a great fit. I'm officially part of the Modern Animal family and excited for them to help me keep my companions healthy and happy! 😊 Check out the cool bandanas and chew toy they received as a welcome gift!! I love it there!!

It started out, promising, and the vets who work at this location are knowledgeable and kind - HOWEVER - the main selling point of this franchise is the chat and video call feature that you have access to, to determine what is going on with your pet, but all they ever tell you is to go in and be seen by the vet… and that’s if they know what they’re even talking about. This morning, I asked them in the chat which microchip company my dog’s microchip is through, and the chat told me to ask the vet who put it in - THEY put it in. How do they not know this? I’ve often wondered if it’s a bot, only because they don’t seem to be able to read past chat records or even the vet records for your particular animal. It took over a week to get a routine prescription refill for my pet, on a medication that she takes every single day and has for months, that was originally prescribed by Modern Animal and on a medication that she would have to taper off of and cannot just stop taking. It took three separate chats, a phone call, and making an actual appointment in order for anyone to get it done, when it was as simple as reading the records that there was a dose increase by their own vet. The video call and phone is almost never available. The chat takes days at best to get anything resolved. They charge 2 to 5 times what procedures and routine care costs at other facilities. You are better off taking your animal to Dallas Animal Urgent Care, which basically acts like a walk-in vet, as well as an emergency and urgent care facility, but with better prices than Modern Animal has ever offered. I’ve had all three of my dogs with Modern Animal for over a year, and I would never recommend this event or their services in the current state of operation. I have actually had them ask me to pull up their own records in the chat. Is there some reason they can’t access their own records? The amount of peanut butter and jelly I have to do for these people should earn me a paycheck from Modern Animal. Just know, this is not the service that is advertised, and if all you need is vaccinations, you will save a lot of money going to a regular vet. The benefits are not as advertised, and in my experience, you are 100% guaranteed to be frustrated and overcharged by Modern Animal.
